History

Holt is a fairly young neighbourhood. In fact, it was only established as the suburb it is today in the early 1970s. Holt gets its name from Harold Holt, who served as the Australian prime minister between 1966 and 1967.

Holt is a great neighbourhood for young and active families. There are a lot of schools and sports fields in the area, as well as Woodhaven Green golf course. If you’re the outdoorsy type, the suburb backs onto bushland and the Molonglo River is only a short drive away.

The Kippax Centre is a large shopping centre that is also home to a library and a supermarket.
