History

The area of Warnbro takes its name from Warnbro Sound. It is a bay on the shores where the suburb is located.

In 1837, Warnbro Sound was surveyed by a man called J. S. Roe. There is no evidence as to why the name was chosen, but the name was recorded in a survey that dates back to 1838.

Warnbro is home to a big shopping centre with supermarkets, specialty stores and fast-food outlets. The suburb has the Aqua Jetty, which is an excellent sporting facility with Olympic-sized swimming pools and a gym.

Not only does the town have lots of parks but it also has a quiet beach for fun and relaxation. Warnbro offers beachfront living at its finest, along with some great schools and cafes.
