History

To the south of Swan View is Railway Reserves Heritage Trail. It used to be part of the Bellevue to Northam railway, until 1966, when the Standard Gauge Railway was built. The area has been maintained thanks to heritage funding. This funding came from the Commonwealth State Bicentennial Commemorative Program.
