Leeming is a suburb of Perth with a population of 11,548. It is conveniently located 13km from Fremantle and 17km from Perth’s central business district. The suburb sits between the Kwinana Freeway and the Roe Highway.
History

Before the 1970s, the Leeming area was mainly farmland. The area that is now the suburb was originally part of Jandakot. Leeming was gazetted in 1971. The subsequent housing was built in stages. Construction began in 1975.

Lifestyle and Entertainment

Shoppers in Leeming enjoy both the Leeming Shopping Forum and Stockland Bull Creek. The suburb has many schools. It is also home to a family and sports centre called The Rec. Local sporting venues include The Leeming Spartan Cricket Club, The Leeming Bowling Club and Melville Glades Golf Club.

About a tenth of Leeming’s population is of Southeast Asian origin. The area is mainly middle class. Most of the housing is detached.
