History

Hazelmere was once part of the Woodbridge land given to Captain James Stirling in 1829. It was then divided into smaller sections in 1883, by a Guildford auctioneer, who purchased the land.

The name, Hazelmere, comes from the English town of Haslemere.

Lifestyle and Entertainment

Gone are Hazelmere’s days of being a rural buffer between the Midland and the airport. The location of the residential lots in Hazelmere is quite strategically placed. The City of Swan is considering rezoning the suburb to be for higher density housing. There are currently several construction works under way.
