History
The first European settlers arrived in 1864. They re-purposed a Njungyar aboriginal name of a neighbouring hill to name the town. By the late 1800s the town had prospered from gold rushes nearby. By the 1930s it had 2 of its own grain elevators.

The hill lookout has a spectacular bird’s eye view of the town and the Doodenanning and Youndigin historic sites. The Ettamogah is a colourful pub in Cunderdin.
