Bibra Lake is a Perth suburb. It is part of the City of Cockburn. According to the 2011 census, it has a population of 5,954.

History

There is a large lake in the area that the suburb is named after. The lake was first called Walubup, which is an Indigenous Australian word. In the 19th Century a man called Benedict von Bibra built up a strong connection with the lake having bought land in the area. People in the area started calling it Bibra’s Lake. In 1967 the name became official.

Bibra Lake is an industrial suburb. The packaging company Amcor has buildings there. There are lots of activities to do. These include bungee jumping and the Adventure World theme park for those who like an adrenaline rush. You can also go paint balling and play laser tag.
