History

In 1892, Henry Brockman, a member of the Brockman family (well-known landowners) subdivided land in the area. The family owned many estates in England, one of which was Beechboro Park in Kent, and Henry Brockman named all his new subdivisions after it.

Beechboro is a large suburb that has developed in a number of stages. Housing in East Beechboro dates from 1979 to the late 1980s. Housing in West Beechboro dates from the mid to late 1980s. Timberlane Estate came later. Bennett Spring and Orchid Park used to belong to Beechboro but became a part of the new suburb of Bennett Springs in 2011.
