Ballajura is a suburb of Perth which is home to just under 20,000 people. It is located just 14km north of the Perth central business district.

History

In 1905, an immigrant from the Isle of Man named Ernest Kerruish bought land in an area known as Caversham. He built a farm there and decided to call the area Ballajora after a similar farm he remembered from his homeland.

Over time, the suburb slowly grew with subdivisions in the 1980s allowing developers to create sought after properties built around lakes and parks.

Lifestyle and Entertainment

Ballajura is a very attractive residential suburb with high-quality homes built amongst beautiful parkland. Homes in the area are very popular with commuters for whom Perth is just a short drive away.

The suburb has a number of schools and though it doesn’t have its own railway station, there are a number of buses which run to the city each day.
