History

Wyndham Vale was originally named Windermere. In 1908, a man named Michael Wall owned a farming property called Wyndham Vale and went on to purchase all the land in the area. He later renamed the suburb after his property, Wyndham Vale. The building was later purchased by the Carter family in 1928. Wyndham Vale is also known as Mad Max country as many scenes from the movie were filmed nearby.
