Plenty is a town in the state of Victoria. It is located 20km from the Central Business District of Melbourne in a northeasterly direction. It is part of the local government area of the Shire of Nillumbik. It has a population of 2,093.
History

Plenty came into existence in 1913 when land was first sold in the area. Plenty has had several post offices over the years. In 1946, the Plenty Cricket Club was set up in the town. It is still functioning today.

In 2001 the Plenty Historical Society was set up. They helped to organise activities for the community as part of the centenary
celebrations in 2013.

Lifestyle and Entertainment

At the edge of the town is the Plenty River. The water has minerals in it that make it a lovely colour. Residents call it “Blue Lake” because of this. People often swim at Yellow Gum Park.
