Keilor East is a relatively new suburb of Victoria 16 kilometres north-west of Melbourne’s central business district. It has beautiful views of the city and a population of 13,500.

History

The suburb of Keilor East was once located in the former City of Keilor. It now sits partially in the City of Brimbank and the City of Moonee Valley.

Keilor East Post Office opened in 1947. It was renamed Niddrie in 1956. A new Keilor East office opened in 1957.

Lifestyle and Entertainment

The Milleara Shopping Centre can be found in Keilor East on the corner of Milleara Road. There is also the Centreway Shopping Centre and Dinah Parade shopping strip in the area. Keilor East offers great public transport services on every corner.

Most of the streets are leafy and there are plenty of children’s playgrounds around town. Keilor East is close to the city, freeways and airport.
