History

The town used to be an agricultural suburb, and was made up of farmland and orchards. During the 1980s, spacious housing and residential areas were developed. Properties are generally single-storey with large front and rear gardens.

The town has many parks for residents and visitors to enjoy. There are walking tracks and the native bushland to explore. A large number of native birds can be seen in the area including the Kookaburra, Galah, Purple Swamp Hen, Eurasian Coot, and Australian Wood Ducks.
