Caroline Springs is one of the younger suburbs in Melbourne. It is famous for its main shopping centre, CS Square, as well as a man-made lake known as Lake Caroline. Lake Caroline is also the home of the WestWaters Hotel and entertainment complex.

History

As a newly developed urban area, Caroline Springs is built around one main street, Caroline Springs Boulevard. This street provides drivers with access to the Princes Highway and the Western Ring Road, as well as the Western Highway and the Deer Park Bypass. There is limited public transport available in Caroline Springs, but a new train station was completed in 2014.

Lifestyle and Entertainment

Caroline Springs is built around Kororoit Creek, which runs through the middle of the suburb. Plans are in place to extend the trail and provide cyclists with a direct path into Sunshine and to Melbourne’s central business district. The creek is also home to a range of exciting flora and fauna, including the endangered Growling Grass Frog.
