History

Huntingfield began life in the late 1980s. It is a relatively new suburb located just outside of Tasmania’s capital city.

Lifestyle and Entertainment

Along with Kingston and Blackmans Bay, Huntingfield is technically distinct from Hobart. However, it is just a few minutes travel time from the centre of the city. It is part of the Greater Hobart Area. Many local residents commute to work in central Hobart. More than half of Huntingfield’s residents are in full time employment.

Local landmarks include the Kingborough Family Church and the Tarremah Steiner School. These are the centres of the suburb’s community.
