Tanunda is a town in South Australia in the Barossa Valley region. 70km northeast of Adelaide, it has a population of over 4,100.
History
Tanunda gets its name from an Aboriginal word that means “watering hole”.

As Tanunda began to grow, the villages of Tanunda and Langmeil joined and today the township is simply called Tanunda.
