The town of Salisbury North is one of the suburbs of the SA city of Adelaide. It forms part of the City of Salisbury which has a total population of 138,000 people.

History

The District Council of Salisbury was established in the 1930s. It was a merger of two other district councils.

Salisbury was given city status in July 1964 and is split up into different suburbs.

Salisbury North had its own post office which opened in the 1960s.

Today, the town is noted for being the scene of some of the Snowtown Murders. Serial killer John Bunting was a resident of Salisbury North’s during the 1990s.
