Noarlunga Centre has a population of 3,700 and is part of the City of Onkaparinga in Adelaide. It lies 25 kilometres south of the city centre.

History

Noarlunga means “at the curvature” in the native Kaurna language. The name refers to the bend in the nearby river at Port Noarlunga. Port Noarlunga was the town centre before Noarlunga Centre was built in 1978.

Noarlunga Centre is a very commercial area and a shopper’s paradise. The Centro Colonnades is the suburb’s main shopping destination. It is also one of the largest shopping centres in all of Adelaide. Other facilities in the area include a bowling alley, a swimming pool, an ice rink and several gyms.

You also have easy access to Noarlunga Centre Interchange. From here you can catch buses and trains to all major destinations in the metro area.
