History

Bellevue Heights was once rural property owned by politician and sheep breeder WG Mills and his family. The late 19th century property was known first as Windsor Farm, then Sturtbrae. WG Mills was a founding member of the Farmers and Settlers Association. The name Bellevue comes from Murray Hill’s Bellevue in Sydney.
