History

Aldinga Beach is located next to a stunning sandy beach. In the mid-1800s the area was used for agriculture and the suburb grew up from there. The local Aldinga Beach post office did not open its doors until 1960.

Aldinga Beach is a very popular holiday destination. There are many things to do in the surrounding area including swimming with dolphins, bird watching, diving and snorkelling. The Aldinga Scrub Conservation Park is also a great place for a walk, and you can see rare coastal vegetation here. Fishing is allowed in certain areas of the park.
