Bruce Menzies Denture Clinic is part of the Advance Oral Group. We are a fully equipped denture clinic in Mooloolaba. We also offer a mobile denture service which covers the Sunshine Coast. We offer repairs while you wait in clinic plus same day relines. Darren Fletcher has over 30 years and Patryk Stesik over 15 years denture experience. We are on the ground level with off street parking.

Clinic Services

We have a brand new state of the art denture clinic where you are greeted with a friendly smile. We offer a free consultation with the dental prosthetist who will advise you on the best solution for your needs.

It normally takes 2 weeks for a new set of dentures. All new or partial dentures receive a denture care pack with after care instructions. This includes a denture bath, denture brush and information.

We have an onsite laboratory so all the work is overseen by the dental prosthetist.

Mobile Denture Service

We understand that it isn't ideal for some people to come to a denture clinic so we have a dedicated mobile denture team that travel the Sunshine Coast, visiting patients in nursing homes, retirement villages and private homes.

We offer same day repairs, same day relines, new and partial dentures. The service is the same as if you went into a clinic without the stress and hassle of having to leave your home. We offer an initial free consultation and give you a treatment plan.

We specialise in the most natural looking teeth. We don't produce teeth which are too big, too white or out of proportion. Careful impression techniques and premium quality materials ensure not only natural looking teeth but they also result in a close and comfortable fit.

What are Dentures?

Dentures are worn to replace your natural teeth. They are usually made from lifelike resin teeth bonded to a plastic base. A complete denture replaces all your natural teeth. A partial denture is usually held in place by clasps or metal clips that fit around some of your remaining natural teeth.
Will anyone be able to tell them from my natural teeth?

Not easily. Dentures made with today's technology can look so natural that people can't tell you're wearing them. Your dentures will have been custom made to fit your mouth, and coloured to look as natural as possible. They will take on the character of your original teeth, so your appearance will be unchanged
How do I clean my denture?

To clean dentures we recommend a very soft brush and soap. A hard toothbrush and toothpaste is too abrasive for your dentures and should never be used. A tip for cleaning dentures is to partially fill the hand basin with water and place a face flannel in the bottom. If dentures are dropped, the water and cloth will absorb most of the impact.
Should I take my dentures out at night?

It's up to you. If you choose to keep your dentures in overnight, always clean them thoroughly before you go to bed-just as you would your natural teeth. Leaving your dentures out at night gives your mouth and gums an opportunity to recover from the effort of supporting your dentures during the day and to experience the soothing effects of your saliva flow. Ask your dental professional if you're not sure.
How do I take care of my new dentures?

We take every care to provide dentures which will be problem free. Any irritation which may occasionally be caused by new dentures can be overcome by adjustment. Most problems are minor-although they may not feel that way in your mouth! Don't let your mouth become sore before having an adjustment made. Please call us if you believe an adjustment is necessary.
What is a Partial Denture?

A partial denture replaces one or several of your natural teeth. In some cases you may be able to keep most of your natural teeth and simply need to replace the missing ones. Partial dentures work really well to combine your new teeth with your natural teeth. They are designed in three ways; acrylic and a metal/acrylic framework combination and valplast.
Do you know partial dentures are beneficial to your natural teeth?

Partial dentures actually help your natural teeth by holding them in place. Gaps in your teeth result in your remaining teeth to move around. Teeth that shift can look strange and make eating and talking more difficult. Partial dentures placed in the gaps prevent them from shifting, keeping your teeth where they're supposed to be.
Why wear a mouthguard?

Each mouthguard is individually moulded to fit the mouth of the person for whom it is made. It is made from heavy duty vinyl, and is designed to reduce impact and lesson the chance of chipped or broken teeth, particularly when playing sport. We recommend mouthguards for sports men and women of all ages(particularly children) and suggest that they should be worn at all times while playing or training. Mouthguards are normally subject to private health fund rebate.
