History

Clinton was named in 1970. In 1988, the merger of Clinton North and Clinton South resulted in the town we know today. In 1974, Clinton State School opened. In 2010, housing pressure caused the formation of a Priority Development Area.

Clinton is a quiet, residential area. The suburbs of Kin Kora, Byellee and Kirkwood surround it. Clinton has one primary school. Clinton State School is on Harvey Road. As of 2015, the school has 51 teachers and 820 students.
