Why does my garage door close halfway and go back up again?
This usually a symptom of lack of maintenance. Garage doors are a mechanical object with many working parts like internal springs and automatic openers. Without proper maintenance they will slowly wear away or bind up and become a costly repair.

I have changed the battery on my remote control but it still does not work?
Batteries in garage door and gate remotes last a long time and sometimes because the unit is not responding the first thing is to change the battery. In some openers when the battery is disconnected the remote loses its memory and needs re coding or the problem may in fact be the remote itself has just given up working or the battery has been installed incorrectly. Our factory trained technicians can supply new remotes and code them into your automatic opener.

Do I need a cyclone rated garage door?
All new garage door installations where the building certificate has been issued after 1st May 2013 must comply with the cyclone rating for our region and must come with a certificate from the supplier assuring that is the case. Buildings that have the old style of doors fitted prior to 1st of May 2013 can be replaced with the same door and don't need to be certified. Ask our sales people who are able to determine your requirements.

Can I add Automation to my existing gates?
We are happy to do a free measure and quote to establish your requirements. As long as the gates are in good working order then it is possible to install automation.

Can you tell me about gate openers?
Most gate openers these days are low voltage either 12 or 24 volt and there are options on how to get power to the gate without trenching.

Is solar power a good option for automatic gates?
Solar powered gates are a great option where full sun is available for a good portion of the day. These openers run on batteries which are continuously being recharged by the solar panel. During long periods of overcast or wet weather the charging rate can fall below that required and the manual over ride must be engaged. Heavy duty long life solar batteries should be used.

What can I do if the power fails and the remote does not work.?
Special over ride key locks should be fitted in these circumstances. We also have a range of automatic garage door openers which come with battery back up in case of a power outage.

Can I get both automatic gate and garage door?
We can fit radio receiver boards that will enable one remote control hand transmitter to open up to 4 doors or gates.
