Buddina is a coastal town that includes the Kawana Waters business centre. It is 13km from Caloundra and 96km north of Brisbane. Buddina is in the local government area of the Sunshine Coast Region. It has a population of 3,666.

History

Buddina has been an area that has had a lot of environmental challenges. In the 1970s cyclone weather did damage to the dunes that were reduced for landfill purposes. This prevented sand mining. But the area has since recovered. Now the Mooloolah River part of the town is a beautiful canal area.

Buddina is home to the one of the largest shopping centres on the Sunshine Coast, the exciting Kawana Shoppingworld. The town faces the stunning Coral Sea, and the canal areas provide a scenic view while you dine in style. The Coastal Pathway provides an excellent way to get outdoors, with many locals walking and jogging along it every day.
