Alexandra Hills is based in Redland City in Queensland. It is a trendy area with a population of over 16,000.

History

It is believed that Alexandra Hills was named after Princess Alexandra of Kent, England, who visited Queensland in 1959. During the 1960s, a lot of the land was cleared for houses and roads. Each area of land was given a name, with Vienna Woods and Windermere Gardens being among the first.

In 1976, Alexandra Hills was the fastest growing suburb in the Redlands. The majority of the homes were built around the same time.

Lifestyle and Entertainment

Alexandra Hills has a big shopping centre on the doorstep, as well as nature reserves and walking trails. Some of the local parks and bushland sites include Windermere Road Park, Coolnwynpin Creek and Keith Surridge Oval.

It’s easy to grab a spot of lunch or dinner at one of the many cafes and restaurants. Alexandra Hills is also home to the McGuire’s venue called The Alexandra Hills Hotel. Some people call it The Alex, and it even has a weekend nightclub.
