History

Winston Hills gets its name from Winston Churchill, famous former Prime Minister of Britain who led the country through World War Two. Winston Hills was previously known as Model Farms. This is the area was used as a demonstration site to show settlers how to grow crop varieties in different seasons.

Roads in Winston Hills are named after literary figures, scientists and Greek mythology. There’s a Bronte Place and a Troy Place, and streets named after Edison and Einstein.
