History

Albert Hamlyn Warner started developing the area in 1893. The town has grown ever since. The suburb takes its name from Warner. Many of the streets have American and Japanese names. This is a reflection of Warner’s wide world travels.

The original area of Warnervale split in recent times, into a number of smaller suburbs.

Famous Hollywood actor, Matthew McConaughey, lived in the area on exchange for a year in the 1980s.

A proposed residential and shopping precinct will see the area’s population grow into the future. Geographically, modern day Warnervale is west of Tuggerah Lake and close to Wyong.

Lifestyle and Entertainment

Sport is popular in the area at the Warnervale Wildcats Sports Club. A high population of youth and young families live in the area. These residents commute to larger urban centres for work and study in many cases. Warnervale’s infrastructure continues to improve over time.
