History

Residents settled in the town in the 1940’s and many chose bungalow-style houses. In recent years, developers redeveloped the town, making it more upmarket. They redeveloped housing, as well as public amenities, like playgrounds and parks. This caused property prices to soar.

The town has Wamberal Beach and a Lagoon. It is considered to be a high density residential area, as well as being semi-rural. There are several high-end cafes, restaurants and boutique stores along the beachfront strip.
