History

The area was used for timber getting and cattle-raising in the 1820’s. Development began in the 1960’s.

The home of property developer, Frank L. Measures, inspired the town’s name.

Lifestyle and Entertainment

The area consists of residential housing and small farms. Natural bushland and reserves border the town. There is a small shopping centre with a supermarket and takeaway shop. Every second Sunday, a market occurs at the shopping centre. Residents set up tables and sell various goods. It is close to the M1 and has the Niagara Park railway station.

The local primary school is Niagara Park Primary School. It is technologically-driven, with laptops and tablets used to teach children. There is a large fete at the school every year. It features rides and baked goods stalls.
