Kellyville is located 36 kilometres north-west of Sydney’s central business district. It is a suburb in New South Wales with a population of over 20,300.

History

The suburb of Kellyville is named after a man called Hugh Kelly who arrived in New South Wales in 1803. He owned some of the Kellyville Estate including the White Hart Inn. The foundations for the Inn can still be found in the area today.

Around 900 houses were developed in Kellyville between the 1960s and 1980s. Kellyville is now a major growth area in The Hills.

Lifestyle and Entertainment

Kellyville is home to Kellyville Plaza, which has over 20 specialty shops. The suburb contains other shopping centres in an area known as The Village, as well as lots of schools.

There is also the Bernie Mullane Sporting Complex. It is a big recreational facility with tennis courts, soccer fields, cricket grounds and a gym.
