Glenmore Park is in the New South Wales area of Australia. It is located 59 kilometres west of the Sydney central business district and has a population of 20,273.

History

Many years ago, Glenmore Park was home to the Mulgoa people. They spoke the Darug language, lived in bark huts and hunted emus and kangaroos for meat.

In the 1800s, the local landowner, Henry Cox built a house in the area. He called his home Glenmore, which is where the suburb takes its name from. Until the 1970s, the area was known as Peachtree until the Penrith Council changed it to Glenmore Park. It is now known as one of the largest and most rapidly developed housing estates in Penrith City.

Lifestyle and Entertainment

Glenmore Park has been developed to cater for its residents. It has four primary schools and two secondary schools for the local children. The main road in the suburb connects with the Northern Road to help transport residents to Penrith and the M4 Western Motorway. There are also three bus services in the town.

In addition to its good schools and transports links, Glenmore Park has rugby, football and cricket clubs.
