Epping is a suburb of Sydney located 18km north of the city’s central business district. It’s a bustling area surrounded by lush greenery, and has a population of over 20,000.

History

Epping was once home to the Wallumedegal tribe. In 1792, Governor Arthur Phillip began giving out bits of land to Royal Marines looking to settle down. A train station was built in 1886, and the suburb was officially named Epping in 1899.

Today, Epping features many schools, residential areas, cultural centres and commercial attractions. The RSL Club is a popular hangout spot, and a range of restaurants keeps things interesting for foodies. There are plenty of parks and sports facilities, and Epping has strong public transport links to the rest of Sydney.
