Eastgardens is a suburb of Sydney, located 9 km south east of the central business district.

Eastgardens is surrounded by the suburbs of Pagewood, Maroubra, Hillsdale and Banksmeadow and is part of the City of Botany Bay. The suburb is around principally retail and less than 50% residential, with the large Westfield Eastgardens shopping centre dominating the land usage to the north of the suburb and a smaller residential development in the south.

The suburb took its name from the Westfield Eastgardens shopping centre in Wentworth Avenue which opened in 1987. Westfield Eastgardens is built on the site of a former General Motors Holden factory. The factory closed in 1982 and was soon followed by the nearby W. D. & H. O. Wills factory. The closure of these two sites would result in job losses of around 1000 people. In order to save jobs, the Government of New South Wales persuaded Westfield to develop the site. At the time of opening this was the largest shopping centre in Australia.
