History

Concord West takes its name from the town Concord, Massachusetts in the United States. This was the site of the Battle of Concord during the American Revolutionary War.

In 1793, the area gained its first land grants. It was under the jurisdiction of Concord Council up until 2000, when it became part of the City of Canada Bay.
