History

Centennial Park was originally land that belonged to the park itself. It was sold off to raise funds for the park’s upkeep. In 1904, over 100 acres of land was subdivided. The homes built on it were held to a certain standard, and made from only brick or stone. Further housing was built in the 1960s and 1980s.
