Caringbah is a growing suburb in New South Wales that is situated 24 kilometres south of Sydney’s central business district. With so many great restaurants and shops, it’s no wonder as to why the area has a population of over 10,900.

History

The suburb of Caringbah was once called Highfield. After the steam trains began operating between Cronulla and Sutherland in 1911, Caringbah was put on the map.

Caringbah was used for orchards and farming right up until after World War II.

This area has a main shopping centre near the railway station and a small group of shops called Caringbah South. There are also lots of secondary and primary schools in the area.
