Based in NSW, Blair Athol is a suburb in Sydney. It falls under the City of Campbelltown and lies in the Macarthur region. Blair Athol is 57km south-west of Sydney’s Central Business District. According to the 2011 census, it has a population of over 2,700 people.

History

European settlers arrived in the area in the early 19th century. At this time, they established orchards and farms. In 1879, John Kidd built the Blair Athol homestead.

In the 1950s, the Campbelltown Council rezoned Blair Athol as an industrial area. They did this in hopes of attracting more industries. However, this did not work. In 1992, the area was rezoned again, as a residential area.

Lifestyle and Entertainment

This small suburb is home to the John Kidd Reserve. This neighbourhood park is popular with families and children. Residents can walk their dogs, play basketball, and have picnics.
