History

Badgerys Creek is named after a farmer and miller called James Badgery. The creek that ran through his farm was known locally as Badgerys Creek. His land, Exeter Farm, is now used for research by the University of Sydney. Since then Badgerys Creek is known as the site proposed for the second Sydney Airport.

Lifestyle and Entertainment

Badgerys Creek Park is an excellent green space in Badgerys Creek. It is also a meeting point for local people. The Hubertus Liverpool Rifle Club are active in Badgerys Creek. There is a brickworks in the south east of the town.
