In 1948, Mr John F McConachie founded McConachie Stedman, a small accounting firm in Toowoomba. He welcomed Mr Bruce Stedman as a partner in 1966 and the two shared a passion to grow the firm. Today, the firm is proud to be the largest locally owned accounting firm on the Darling Downs. Expanding from taxation & accounting, also include specialist areas of audit and financial planning.

Where are you located?

Do you have parking?
Our Redcliffe office has limited onsite parking, access to free on-street parking on John St, as well as paid parking close by.

What software do you recommend/use?
We aim to support our clients to use the tools that are right for them. Most of our clients choose to use Myob, Xero, Reckon or Phoenix and our staff are able to offer support for all of these programs.

If I want a general discussion about my financial situation, will I be charged?
We offer a FREE initial consultation to new clients with one of our experienced advisors, financial planners, auditors or SMSF specialists. This consultation cannot be used to prepare or lodge a tax return or other documents with the ATO or other government agency but is an opportunity for new clients to meet with our staff and find out if our services are right for them.

Do I need to come to you?
No. We offer clients appointments at all of our offices in Redcliffe, Clayfield, Toowoomba, Melbourne, Crows Nest & St George. If you aren’t able to make it to our office we are happy to set-up Zoom meetings or can visit you in your home or business depending on your location.
